  I first encountered this gym when a friend of mine wanted to stop by for a moment to meet with one of the coaches. She is a blue belt with a good knowledge of gyms worthy of visiting. She spoke highly of it for some time.
  
  I knew nothing about the sport. From the moment I walked in, for not knowing anything about this particular martial art or how to teach it, I could clearly see absolute professionalism and a sincere focus on good training. The coaches moved easily between meeting people walking in, answering questions, and teaching. I noticed how moves and techniques weren't just shown, they were explained, detailed, and understandable to the class. Because of this, it looked like students were able to perform better, quicker. Either way, they seemed to have a lot of fun.
  
  As the class was ending, I caught onto the group dispersing on the message of hard work, dedication, effort and zero egos. The goal was helping your teammate out by being better at your own skill, so your teammate could become better on the floor. I felt this may actually be a good environment for my son. I enrolled him after a free week, as my son was hooked and he's been going daily ever since.
  
  The gym has worked so hard with him, with me, and each person I see come through the door. The gym is a place to fail and try again as many times as you need until it all starts to click together. I've enjoyed the parents and kids class with my son, the belt promotions, the adults coming in and progressing; there are not enough positive words to say.
